I love drawing women with strong and powerful poses. I like imagining them taking a lot of space, (positions more unlikely for women in public spaces) and often wear suits because it's a very ambiguous symbol for me. First of all, it reminds me of the patriarchal, capitalist and conformist society we inherited. But to me, it also represents the privilege to be considered for your mental qualities before your physical ones. Imagine a world where our female ancestors could have been represented like that, without any artifice to alter their physique in order to make them desirable. Portraits of people, not objects.
